For Jaime Guevara, service has always been at the center of life. A retired Marine and longtime Department of Veterans Affairs employee, he also carried a lifelong dream of running his own business. He reflects on how leaders in the military always had him keep an eye on the future and ideas of what come next, while committing to service.

On this episode of the VIBEcast, Linda Ballesteros speaks to Jaime about his journey from being a marine veteran to vending business ownership, alongside is day job. A year since starting his business, he was happy to share a look behind vending operations.

When Jaime discovered Naturals2Go, his family was hesitant at first. “Their first response was, ‘No, we’re not going to do that,’” he said. But training quickly changed their minds.

“The staff felt like family. The instructors were owner-operators themselves, leading by example. That gave me confidence I had made the right choice.”

Jaime started with six machines and quickly grew to 14, leaning on mentoring and friendships with other operators.

“We still motivate each other through the rough times. It really feels like a big family.”

His success, he says, comes down to customer service.

“I made a promise to my customers: even if it’s late or the weekend, I’ll restock the machines. Once you take care of people, they take care of you.”

For Jaime, Naturals2Go is more than a business. It’s the realization of a lifelong dream, and proof that persistence pays off.
