On a recent episode of V.I.B.E. Cast, host Linda Ballesteros sat down with Amber Smith to talk about the real-life experience of launching a Naturals2Go vending business with her husband, Patrick —from expectations, to training, to what it actually takes to succeed.

It Wasn’t About Getting Rich Quick

Despite the myth that business ownership leads to fast cash and instant freedom, Amber knew better. With over a decade of entrepreneurial experience and a growing young family, she and her husband were looking for something different:

  • A new income stream without the demands of another brick-and-mortar business
  • Something scalable, practical, and flexible
  • A way to diversify their portfolio and keep their time with their kids

After vetting over a dozen opportunities, Naturals2Go stood out.

“We went through 12 to 15 franchise options pretty deeply,” Amber shared. “But nothing checked all the boxes like this did.”

Starting a business isn’t a magic switch—it’s a decision to do the work. And according to entrepreneur Amber Smith, it’s one of the best decisions she and her husband have ever made.

From the beginning, Amber said the process never felt pushy or transactional. It felt like real people helping real people succeed.

“I never felt sold,” she said. “After training, I messaged my rep and said, ‘Why didn’t you tell me how amazing this was?’”

That training—and the flexibility to attend again—gave Amber and her husband confidence. And more importantly, it gave them a proven framework to build on.

From First Steps to Big Wins

Since launching, Amber and her husband have placed seven vending machines—five of which they located themselves. One of those? A 1,000-person plant they’d dreamed of landing, which took over six months of persistence to secure.

Email after voicemail after follow-up is required — it is playing a long game for great locations but it is worth it with one machine in a great location ‘“But now that machine is “performing three times better than expected.”

Amber credits their success not only to the tools and systems but to the mindset they brought with them: stay consistent, go for no, and keep showing up.

Expectations vs. Reality

Amber admits she had some initial assumptions—like many people—about vending being outdated or underwhelming. But seeing Naturals2Go’s sleek, high-capacity machines and the technology behind them changed everything.

“These are like the Ferraris of vending.”

She also notes that the support and tools feel almost franchise-level—but without the fees and red tape.

“If people aren’t having success,” Amber said candidly, “I really think it’s because they’re not doing the work. Everything you need is there.”
